KOCHI: The CPI-ML Red Flag will take out a march to the Kerala Water Authority (KWA) office in Ernakulam on July 15, demanding steps to increase water flow to Kochi and West Kochi.. In a statement here on Thursday, Charles George, CPI-ML (Red Flag) district secretary, said the authorities had not even completed repair work of the existing pipelines in Vypeen. Besides, the KWA was diverting water from the limited supply now given to the mainland, including the city and West Kochi, which are already water-starved. The HUDCO project was being commissioned without ensuring the basic infrastructure needed for continuous supply of water, he said.
