Team visits about 10 police stations

CHENNAI: As part of the ISO 9001-2000 certification process for the Greater Chennai Police, an eight-member team made spot study at various wings of the city police on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to city police officials, the two-day assessment programme began on Wednesday and the team visited about 10 police stations, including those in the erstwhile Chingleput East police district, which have been annexed recently to the city police jurisdiction. A senior officer said: "We have identified 15 police stations in the Greater Chennai area and the team visited 10 stations at random."

On the second day, the team made assessment at the Central Crime Branch police.
