Four die as buses collide in Ramanagaram

BANGALORE:
Four persons were killed and 42 injured when two buses collided near Mayaganahalli in Ramanagaram traffic police station limits on Friday.
The police gave the names of the dead as Malappa (45) of Hubli, Shivakumar (45) of Mysore, both drivers of the buses, and Narasimhaiah (55) and a 26-year-old unidentified man from Kollegal, both passengers. Of the injured 12 were admitted to various hospitals in the city.
The rest are being treated at the Ramanagaram Government Hospital.
The Bangalore-bound Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus coming from Channapatna collided with the Kollegal-bound bus when it tried to overtake a car, the police said.
