MYSORE: A group of three children from Mysore Public School will shortly embark on a journey to the U.S. to hone their basketball skills under the expert guidance of renowned coaches there. In the country that is obsessed with the NBA games, Dinesh Chandra Singh, B.R. Narthan and Muhammed Nishan Mustafe, will participate in the fourth Annual International Training Camp for School Basketball players held for children in the under-17 category. The camp will be conducted at Orlando, Florida, and has been organised by the Youth Basketball of America. According to the school Secretary, Safeer Khan, the school is among three participant schools from India along with the Delhi-based G.D. Goenka World School and the Guwahati-based Assam Valley School. In all, 14 young players from India will be part of the basketball training camp for a fortnight. Mr. Khan said that the training programme has been facilitated by the Basketball Federation of India and the R.R. Sharma Memorial Sports Trust.
