VELLORE: A committee headed by G.Viswanathan, Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and former minister has been formed for compiling details pertaining to the Sepoy Mutiny, which took place inside the Vellore Fort on July 10, 1806. Era.Sezhiyan, former M.P., M.Anandakrishnan, former vice-chancellor of Anna University, V.Shanmugasundaram, former vice-chancellor of Manonmaniyam Sundaranar University, V.P.Narayanan, former vice-chancellor of Dr.MGR Medical University, P.Radhakrishnan, Vice-Chancellor of VIT, Thanjaivanan, former deputy director of Doordharshan, Chennai, A.R.Venkatachalapathy, Associate Professor and K.A.Manikumar, Professor are the other members of the committee. Mr.Viswanathan has in a release said that the committee proposed to compile the historical details with the help of researchers and others.
