KOLLAM: The Kerala State Health Inspectors Association (KSHIA) has called upon the State Government to implement the wage revision without delay. In a statement here on Saturday, general secretary of KSHIA Asramam P.R. Balagopal said that a wage revision is essential considering the hike in prices for fuel and other essential commodities. He said the revision was due since 2002. The KSHIA has demanded the settlement of the salary disparity of junior health inspectors and health inspectors. Mr. Balalgopal said that the Kollam district conference of the KSHIA scheduled for July 14 has been postponed to September 5. The district conference of Thiruvananthapuram will be held on July 12, Pathanamthitta on July 19, Alappuzha on July 21 and Kottayam on July 26. The district conferences of the remaining districts will be held between August 22 and 30.
