MALAPPURAM: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) general secretary and former Industries Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty has brushed aside the complaint raised by K.T. Jaleel, dissident leader of the Muslim Youth League, as a matter of ignorance. In a statement here on Saturday, the IUML leader said Mr. Jaleel had been ignorant of the happenings in the party as he held no official post after his re-induction into the party's youth wing. In a letter to Mr. Kunhalikutty, the Youth League leader on Friday had asked for an explanation about how the League dealt with tsunami relief fund. Mr. Kunhalikutty said that his party had clear account for the fund it collected and it was presented at the State committee meeting. The account was published in the party mouthpiece Chandrika, he said. "But Mr. Jaleel wouldn't know this. Because, he did not hold any official post after his expulsion from the party and subsequent re-induction," said Mr. Kunhalikutty. Asked whether any action would be taken against Mr. Jaleel based on the letter, Mr. Kunhalikutty replied: "We will tell you.|" However, he said he had not got the letter yet.
