PALAKKAD: Vehicular traffic on the Pollachi-Thrissur highway was blocked for some time on Saturday following an agitation by local people at Govindapuram Ganapathypalayam junction, demanding action against the Headmaster of a Tamil Government School who is facing sexual exploitation charges. Govindapuram is on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The allegation is that Kanakaraj of Poothanaikanoor at Pollachy took two girl students to a lodge at Pollachi and sexually abused them. The lodge authorities informed the police, and the Thirumala Police arrested Kanakaraj.
