Seminar on ethics in medical care

KOCHI: A seminar on ``Ethics in Medical Care'' will be organised by Lourde Hospital as part of the Jubilee celebrations on Sunday at Ashirbhavan, Kacheripady.

Meenu Hariharan, State Medical Education Director, Sebastian Paul, MP, Francis Xavier, Director, Lourde Hospital, Jose Chacko Periapuram, heart surgeon, Abraham Varghese, president of Kochi branch of Indian Medical Association, and Monamma Kokkad, former member, State Women's Commission, will participate in the seminar.

George Thayil, cardiologist, will be the moderator.

A book written by Dr. Thayil titled ``Heart Diseases: Precautions and Treatment'' will be released by Dr. Hariharan. Sebastian Paul will receive the first copy of the book.

Sabu Nedunilath, general convener of the festival, Mathew Decruz, Assistant Director, Lourde Hospital, and Dr. Thayil addressed a press conference on Friday to announce the programme.
