NTPC's investment in Ratnagiri Gas

NEW DELHI: The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) on Monday announced that it would invest up to Rs. 500 crore as its share application money in the equity of Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt. Ltd. (RGPL), a 50:50 joint venture with GAIL (India), for taking over the assets of Dabhol power project by RGPL from the Indian lenders of Dabhol Power Company (DPC) through the Debt Recovery Tribunal and court process.
