Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: The general secretary of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ), A. Anjaneyulu, has urged journalists in Adilabad district to make use of the `mediclaim' insurance policy.

He said on Sunday that renewal of existing insurance policies should be done by August 15.

The Union planned to cover 5,000 journalists across the State under the policy. So far, 2,500 journalists have been covered.

The APUWJ Adilabad unit also organised a seminar on role of officials in AIDS awareness. The seminar was jointly organised by the Adilabad Medical and Health Department. The Adilabad unit president of APUWJ, Shivaiah, was also present.
