NEW DELHI: Koneru Humpy carved out a 48-move victory over Russia's Nadezhda Kosintseva in the seventh round to share the lead with China's Xu Yuhua at five points in the North Urals Cup women's chess tournament at Krasnoturinsk, Russia, on Monday. Meanwhile, K. Sasikiran defeated Czech Grandmaster Vlastimil Jansa to join Neelotpal Das and two others in the lead with 5.5 points after the sixth round of the Benasque International chess tournament in Benasque, Spain, on Monday. The results (North Urals Cup, seventh round): Maia Chiburdanidze (Geo, 3) drew with Antoaneta Stefanova (Bul, 2.5); Tatiana Kosintseva (Rus, 2.5) bt Natalia Zhukova (Ukr, 2); Alexandra Kosteniuk (Rus, 4) lost to Xu Yuhua (Chn, 5); K. Humpy (Ind, 5) bt N. Kosintseva (Rus, 3); Alisa Galliamova (Rus, 4) bt Ekaterina Kovalevskaya (Rus, 4).
