SALEM: The employees of the small-scale industries branch of a nationalised bank on Gandhi Road here had an unusual visitor on Tuesday evening. It was a seven-foot snake. The snake, which slipped on the bank premisessent the bank staff scurrying for safety. On information, the officials of the Department of Forest rushed to the spot and cordoned off the premises. Later they brought a snake charmer Sidhan from Karupper near here who, after a 30-minute ordeal, ensnared it alive. The snake, the officials said, belonged to the family of rat snake. The officials released it into the forests.
