BANGALORE: M.D. Anup Kiran won the third title of the season, beating Aditya Prakash 15-13, 15-10 in the boys' under-16 singles final of the Ramaiah Rajan Memorial State junior ranking badminton championship at the Canara Union hall here on Tuesday. Later in the boys' under-19 singles, Anup went down to the top-seeded V. Amar 20-15, 8-15. Monisha Vinayak defeated Nitya Sosale 11-7,11-3 to win the girls' under-16 title. Nitya, however, had a consolation as she won the under-16 girls' doubles title, partnering Ashwini Ponnappa. The results (all finals): Boys: Singles: U-16: M.D. Anup Kiran bt Aditya R. Prakash 15-13, 15-10. U-13: Rajas Jawlakr bt K. Anil Kumar 15-8, 15-5. U-13 doubles: K. Anil Kumar & Nikhil Nagaraj bt Rajas Jawalkar & Ajay Patil 15-7, 6-15, 15-4. U-16 doubles: Aditya R. Prakash & Nikhil bt Prakyat Naik & Amit Kumar 15-5, 15-9; U-19 doubles: G.M. Nandeesh & Sashank Sastry bt Mohit Kamath & V. Amar 15-3, 15-12.
