Women's kabaddi in SAF Games

HYDERAEBAD: Women's kabaddi has been included in the 2006 South Asian Federation Games to be held in Colombo, according to Mr. K. Jagadishwar Yadav, newly-elected general secretary of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.

Mr. Yadav said here on Tuesday that the IKF was also planning to host a European championship after the participation of England and Germany in the last edition of World Cup in Mumbai.

Mr. Janardhan Singh Gehlot, who has been re-elected as president of AKFI, stated that the next senior Nationals would be held in Hyderabad this December.

Another decision taken by the AFKI was to nominate Mr S.N. Salve as life president of AKFI in view of his services to the sport, Mr Gehlot said.
