Ex-Premier charged with fraud

MOSCOW:
Russian prosecutors have opened a criminal probe of former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov in what analysts said was the Kremlin's nervous reaction to his plans to run for presidency.
The Prosecutor General's Office said it was investigating whether Mr. Kasyanov broke the law by buying a government-owned real estate in Moscow's most prestigious location.
