PONDICHERRY: The Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, along with the Local Administration Minister, A. Elumalai, held discussions here on Tuesday with a Russian team led by the Russian envoy for South India, Viladis Lov P.Antony Yuk, to utilise the Russian technology for development works in the Union Territory. The Director of the Local Administration department, E. Vallavan, said in a release that preliminary discussions revolved round establishment of deep-sea trawler fisheries projects in Pondicherry, desalination of seawater into potable water, generation of power from the solid and municipal waste generated here and establishment of a distillery plant.
