Police recover tiger skin near Hasanparthy

ONE MORE FELLED?: The policemen displaying the tiger skin seized in Warangal district on Tuesday.

WARANGAL: The police recovered a tiger skin, which was left behind by unidentified persons on seeing a police party, near Hasanparthy on Tuesday afternoon.

Md. Liaquat Ali Khan, DSP, and G. Sekhar Goud, SI, said when the police party was undertaking routine checking of vehicles near Palivelpula village, two unidentified persons travelling in a jeep threw a bag and ran away. The vehicle was coming from Parkal side. The police found a fresh skin of tiger estimated to cost Rs. 70,000 in the market. The police suspect that offenders could have secured it in Chattisgarh and were coming via Eturunagaram forest towards Warangal.

The police registered a case and launched a manhunt for the offenders.
