KARIMNAGAR: The Telugu Desam Party district unit has alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is again planning to deceive people of Telangana by organising yet another public meeting in Warangal town to explain the reasons for coming out of the Government in the State. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, the TDP district president L. Ramana said that the TRS leaders had no right to organise the meeting in Warangal when they had claimed that they would organise the next public meeting only in the separate Telangana state. He said the TRS president and Union Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, during a public meeting in Hyderabad after attaining power, said that it would be the last meeting in the united Andhra Pradesh and the next public meeting would be held only in separate Telangana State.
Appeal to people
Cautioning people not to attend the Warangal meeting, he said that the people of the region would be deceived again if they believed the TRS leaders and attend the meeting. He said that the TRS was planning to re-enter the Cabinet by successfully organising Warangal meeting. He asked the TRS leaders to quit their posts and seek fresh mandate from the public to show their sincerity for the cause of Telangana. Flaying the TRS leaders for attaining power at both Centre and State, which was against their party policy, he said that the TRS leaders had neglected the development of the region in spite of remaining in power. He charged the TRS with failing to implement the GO 610, stop construction of Polavaram, Pulichintala irrigation projects and also illegal construction on the river Godavari in Maharashtra state.
Second SRC
He also said that the Congress was also cheating the Telangana region by going ahead with the second SRC. He flayed the TRS leaders for not maintaining clarity on the Telangana state.
