CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in Mylapore and Gopalpuram on July 14 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for maintenance work.

Maths Olympiad classes

Nehru Children's Cultural Association is organising a 10-day Mathematics Olympiad Class for primary level. The classes will be conducted from July 24 to August 28. Home for aged

Vanaprastha, an organisation for the aged, is setting up a centre for aged persons at Santhavellore Village, Sunguvarachataram, Sriperumbudur. Physics quiz for students

R. Sudharshan of RKM Vivekananda college will conduct a physics quiz for students of standard XI on July 17 (Sunday 9.30 a.m) at the Club.

Objections sought on property valuation

Chennai Collector S. Chandramohan has invited the public to register objections, if any, on the new guideline valuation system for immovable properties in the city.

A release from the Collectorate said the Government recently constituted district and State-level committees for reviewing the guideline values in different areas. Members of the public who feel that the value of any of the property in their street or area is not proper could register their objections with the Deputy Revenue Officer (Stamps) or the Deputy Inspector General of Registration, Chennai - 1, the district sub-registrar concerned, or the tahsildar.

The timetable for revision and for people to send in their objections has been displayed in the notice-board of the sub-registrar and tahsildars, it added.
