Objections sought on property valuation
A release from the Collectorate said the Government recently constituted district and State-level committees for reviewing the guideline values in different areas. Members of the public who feel that the value of any of the property in their street or area is not proper could register their objections with the Deputy Revenue Officer (Stamps) or the Deputy Inspector General of Registration, Chennai - 1, the district sub-registrar concerned, or the tahsildar. The timetable for revision and for people to send in their objections has been displayed in the notice-board of the sub-registrar and tahsildars, it added.
