Cash stolen from Kodambakkam shop

CHENNAI:
The Kodambakkam police received a complaint on Monday that cash Rs 1.30 lakhs kept in an electronics goods shop was missing.
Police said thieves entered the electronics shop on Arcot Road and took away the cash. Police suspected that one of the employees could have committed the offence.
Further investigation is on.
In another case of burglary, the Saidapet police have registered a case that Rs 62,000 in cash kept in a pizza outlet was stolen on Monday.
Police said thieves entered the outlet located in Nandanam and took away the cash.
Woman robbed of gold chain
A two-wheeler borne two-member gang snatched six sovereigns of gold chain from a 61-year-old woman at Ambattur market on Monday.
Police said the victim, Savithri Bai (61) wife of a retired bank officer, was on her way to market.
The strangers pushed her down and escaped with her jewellery.
Later, a complaint was registered with Ambattur police.
