Speaker's poser to Sena MLAs

MUMBAI:
Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar has sought to know from 23 Shiv Sena MLAs why they did not attend a meeting convened by former Sena leader Narayan Rane on July 8.
Mr. Rane had moved the Speaker against the MLAs stating they failed to attend the meeting despite a whip issued by Vinayak Nimhane (appointed by Mr. Rane after his expulsion).
Gajanan Kirtikar, whip of the official party, said the nine MLAs supporting Mr. Rane must sign a resolution electing Ramdas Kadam as their Legislature Party leader. They would invite action if they failed to do so.
