The star obliged autograph hunters

CHENNAI: Even as the normally busy Thyagaraya Road in T. Nagar was waking up to another hectic weekday on Wednesday morning, a crowd was quickly collecting in front of the Reebok store.

And the reason was not far to seek. For a peek through the store's windows showed the reason for the crowd's excitement was the entry of actor Surya, who had come to inaugurate the store and launch the `Revolutionary Pump' shoes.

Clad in white Reebok T-shirt and blue jeans, the actor breezed in a few minutes late but made it up with a pleasant smile and later by posing patiently for photographs and signing autographs for his fans.

After the customary inauguration, he went around the store to check out the collection as fans elbowed each other to get his autograph. They were not disappointed as the actor exchanged a few words with them. Before he left for a dubbing session for his next film `Gajini', the actor shared his views about the film and Reebok. "I frequently use their fitness equipment and other products," he said. On `Gajini', he said: "the film is slated for release in mid-August. My next project is `Arumugam'."
