Most often books by noted authors are in great demand. Soon, the books are out of stock. But, a book by an unknown writer, especially someone who is considered an outcast by society, is bound to pique the curiosity of many. It was only a fortnight ago that the book by Nalini Jameela, sex worker in Thrissur, was published. The book, priced at Rs.70, has been in great demand in the district. The copies of the book, `Oru Laigika Thozhilaliyude Atmakadha,' published by DC Current Books, went out of print in Kanhangad within a few days of its publishing. The book narrates the life of the author who has been a sex worker for the past three decades. Inquiries for the book flood many a bookstall in Kanhangad. Besides printing more copies, the publisher plans to bring out the book in Kannada and Tamil also.
