ERODE: A woman administered poison to her daughter and committed suicide. According to the police, the woman's husband Arthanari of Punnam in Bhavani taluk was running a private financial firm. He had collected money from various people and could not return it. He died five years back.
Commits suicide
Depositors often approached his wife Kannammal and daughter Gomathy seeking repayment. Frustrated, Kannammal administered poison to her daughter Gomathy and consumed it a couple of days back. Gomathy died and Kannammal was admitted to a private hospital, where she died on Thrusday. Appakudal police registered a case of murder followed by suicide.
