DINDIGUL: Training one teacher is equal to training hundreds of students. Though students are the target group when it comes to improving oral health, the Dindigul district dental association gave special training to schoolteachers in the town under the National Oral Health Care Programme held in Dindigul on Wednesday so that they could pass on the message to the children. Besides giving vital tips on how to maintain teeth, the teachers were trained to pass tips on oral healthcare to students in a simple way. Speakers stressed that the teachers' commitment and dedication towards improving the health of their students was as important as their commitment and dedication towards improving their academic skills. The `bright smiles and bright futures' of the students lie at the hands of teachers only, they said.
