VILLUPURAM: Over 50 Plus Two students of the Thirukkoilur Government Girls Higher Secondary School near here were dismissed on Thursday for abstaining from classes and blocking road traffic for the last two days. The students were demanding that the transfer of their tuition masters G. Viswanathan and Ezhumalai be revoked . Headmaster Kalyanasundaram, on instructions from the Education Department, ordered their dismissal and sought explanation from over 100 other students for their irregular attendance. A show-cause notice has been served on all the 16 post-graduate teachers and the headmaster as to why action should not be taken against them for not having taken timely action.
