Discharge reduced

CHENNAI:
Discharge from the Kabini Reservoir was reduced to 5,000 cusecs on Thursday by Karnataka authorities as against 9,792 cusecs on Wednesday. The inflow into the reservoir on Thursday also came down to 7,943 cusecs from 10,953 cusecs.
Meanwhile, the inflow into the Mettur Reservoir on Thursday night was 16,423 cusecs while the outflow was maintained at 900 cusecs. The storage at the reservoir was 28.146 thousand million cubic feet (tmc ft) as against the capacity of 93.4 tmc ft.
