DINDIGUL: John Pal HSS crushed Lions MHSS 7-0 and entered the semifinals of the second annual Paramasviam Memorial Trophy district level under-10 football tournament here on Thursday. The results (quarterfinals): John Pal HSS bt Lions MHSS 7-0; St. Mary's ES bt PU HSS Thottamuthu 5-0; Om Santhi MHSS bt St. Joseph's MHS 4-2; ARCES Jumplianpatti bt TPK MHSS 2-0.
Athletics competition
The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) will conduct a round of its state-ranking athletics competition at the Nehru Stadium on July 16. The events are for boys and girls in three categories: category I (std VII to IX), category II (std X to XII) and category III (open, no age restriction).
