NEW DELHI: The Bar Council of India (BCI) has sought the response of the Kerala Bar Council (KBC) on a complaint from Save Kerala Bar Council Forum (SKBCF) to take action against the KBC for alleged irregularities. Convener of SKBCF M.C. George, in a complaint to the BCI, alleged that financial irregularities, amassing of huge amounts by some members and misuse of position and authority were some of the issues that had been brought to the notice of the public. He wanted the BCI to take appropriate action against the KBC under Section 7 (i) (g) of the Advocates Act to save the KBC and restore it to its prime position and status. The complainant wanted suspension of all activities of the KBC and to take into safe custody all the files under the council andexamine the minutes of the council meetings in detail.
