BEML looking for foreign partner

BANGALORE: Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) is working with about a dozen global partners to put on Indian roads long haul dumpers (50 tonnes to 250 tonnes) during the year. Disclosing this here to The Hindu group, the BEML Chairman and Managing Director, V. R. S. Natarajan, said with Indian highways improving, the Government had opened up the transport sector to look at heavy tonnage vehicles, to make logistics cost-effective. BEML was looking for a technology partner and would put up a plant in Mysore.
