Health inspectors union's protest

KOLLAM: The State executive committee meeting of the Kerala Health Inspectors Union (KHIU) has protested against the Government decision to hand over the conduct of the National Health Programmes to societies.

The meeting, held in connection with the 26th State conference of the KHIU which began here on Thursday, had also taken the decision to organise strong agitations against the move.

The KHIU State president, M.M. Ashraf, presided and the general secretary, G. Lawrence addressed the meeting.
