KOLLAM: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State unit has warned of a strong agitation against the proposal to introduce interviews for recruitment to a few more posts by the Kerala Public Service Commission. In a statement here on Thursday, BJYM State secretary G. Hari said his organisation was building up a volunteer cadre who would take an oath in blood to resist the interview system. Mr. Hari alleged that the interview system had been introduced only with the aim of effecting corrupt practices. The marks allocated for interviews were 20, and this would enable those conducting them to wantonly prepare the selection list. Denying selection to those who had proved themselves in the written examination was gross injustice. The BJYM would unlaunch a campaign against the interview system by organising two vehicle jathas on July 20 from Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram. They would converge on Eranakulam on July 27. From August 1, BJYM State president K. Surendran will go on an indefinite fast in front of the Secretariat in protest against the interview system.
