Cuddapah
Staff Reporter
CUDDAPAH: The Cuddapah MLA, Md. Ahmedullah, and the Collector, G. Ashok Kumar, on Thursday pulled up the Cuddapah Government Hospital Superintendent, Subbarayudu, for insanitation, poor lighting and inadequate facilities on the premises. They addressed the Hospital Advisory Committee meeting and inspected the hospital premises. On finding some rooms dirty and not put to use, they directed thorough cleaning of the hospital premises and planting of saplings to promote greenery. Doctors and hospital staff should adhere to their duty timings, the Collector said. He wanted doctors and nurses to frequently change gloves in the HIV and tuberculosis wards and urged them to procure in case of shortage. Patients of some wards complained to the Collector about poor lighting and lack of fans. Mr. Ashok directed the engineering officials to replace damaged electrical wiring and encase them in pipes.
Information centre
The Collector directed repairs to the hospital building and assured to sanction requisite funds. He told the hospital officials to set up information centre to assist the patients. Drinking water and toilet facilities and proper lighting should be provided in each ward, he said. Lamenting that the hospital lacked kits, he wanted proposals forwarded to him.
