KURNOOL: Activists of Lok Janasakti and MRPS demonstrated with the body of H. Hussainaiah at the collectorate here on Thursday to protest against the attitude of officials, which allegedly was responsible for the death of the SC farmer. The protesters kept the body for 15 minutes at the main gate of the collectorate and raised slogans. According to reports, Hussainaiah, 30, attempted suicide by setting himself ablaze at Talamudipi village under Midtur mandal on Wednesday peeved by his displacement from a piece of land. The family of Hussainaiah was under occupation of half-an-acre of land for a long period. However, the revenue authorities allotted the land to some other person and issued a patta. The farmer was driven out of the land, which allegedly hurt him. Hussainaiah died in the hospital while undergoing treatment on Thursday.
