Fulbright grant for teacher
Vaidehi Madhavan, a mathematics Teachers from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan school, Nungambakkam, who has been selected for a grant under 2005 Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program, will be teaching at Las Cruces public school, New Mexico in the United States for five months starting August 8.
Ms. Madhavan is a recipient of the Best Teacher Award conferred by the Srinivasa Ramanujan Academy of Math Talent and her paper on qualitative teaching of maths won the Best Paper presentation award. Under the exchange programme, Ms. Connie Marie Jaramilo from the Las Cruces School would be teaching at the Padma Seshadri school. The programme aims at promoting the sharing of teaching methods and a cross cultural exchange of ideas.
