Promotion for CRPF personnel

NEW DELHI: : The Central Reserve Police Force has announced out-of-turn promotions for the 32 personnel who foiled the terrorist attack on July 5 on the Ram temple at Ayodhya.

A sub-inspector has been promoted as inspector, eight head constables as sub-inspectors and 23 constables as head constables, a CRPF statement said here.

The inner cordon of the compound housing the makeshift temple was under CRPF security when the terrorists broke through the outer ring manned by the Uttar Pradesh police. - UNI
