Observance

Sangeetha Kalanidhi `Maharajapuram Santhanam Day' will be observed by Maharajapuram Santhanam Foundation in association with Telugu Samithi and Modern Scientific Company on July 16 at 6 p.m. at Kodanadaramar Temple, Ram Nagar.

A.S.N. Murthy of Telugu Samithi will recall memories of Maharajapuram Santhanam. This will be followed by a concert by Maharajapuram S. Srinivasan, son and disciple of the music giant Maharajapuram Santhanam.

Music recital

Alapana will organise a music programme by Gayathri Venkataraghavan and violin by Akkarai Subbulakshmi on July 17 at the GKD Auditorium.

Workshop

The fertility centre of the Kovai Medical Center and Hospital will conduct a three-day workshop (Focus 2005) from July 15 to 17.

On the first day, the workshop will provide hands on training in gyne laparoscopy for gynaecologists.

The second day will be on sperm preparation and the third day on early pregnancy problems.

Grievances meeting

The Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore Rural District, A.G. Ponn Manickavel, will hold a grievances meeting at Karumathampatti Panchayat Union Kalyana Mandapam from 8 a.m. on Friday. Residents in police limits coming under the Avanashi sub-division are requested to avail themselves of the opportunity.
