Conspicuous absence

Tennis ace Sania Mirza, film star Srikanth and other top police officials of the city, were present at the glittering induction ceremony of traffic commandos. Surprisingly, the person who conceived the idea and gave it a push, was missing. All the speakers applauded the concept. But, none spoke about the former traffic police chief and current Additional Commissioner (co-ordination), Tejdeep Kaur Menon, who had mooted the thought, in their address.

A girl commando was the only one who said, "Thanks to Tejdeep madam for giving us this opportunity." Well. Whatever be the reason, Ms. Tejdeep's absence raised many an eyebrow.
