HYDERABAD: The dumping yard adjacent to the Krishna Kant Park in Yousufguda is likely to be shifted in two months. The Municipal Commissioner, Sanjay Jaju, announced this on Thursday after the Khairatabad MLA, P. Janardhan Reddy, along with residents of the area complained that the dump was affecting the entire area. Mr. Jaju, who visited the garbage dump along with Mr. Reddy, senior officials of the Municipal Corporation and others, said alternative arrangements would be made to dump the garbage. Earlier, the residents of Rahamatnagar, Madhuranagar, Siddarthanagar, Yadagirinagar and Jawahar Nagar, led by local corporator, B. Chandramma, told Mr. Jaju that apart from the stench from the dump, mosquitoes and worms were all over the nearby houses. The number of visitors to the Krishna Kant Park too had diminished, they pointed out. The team also inspected the recently laid 20 feet PJR Road in Yousufguda following a request from Mr. Reddy to increase its width to 80 feet. Mr. Jaju agreed to this, Ms. Chandramma said in a press note.
