BSNL opens online bill collection counter

A new Online BSNL bill collection centre was opened at the Telephone Exchange at NTPC-Simhadri in Parawada. It will function from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 18 and 19 and again for four days from July 25 to enable CellOne and landline customers in and around NTPC pay bills. The Telecom Disrict General Manager, J. Ganta, said in a press release that a similar arrangement would be made every month deciding dates on the basis of the pay-by-date.

VMC to introduce new wheelbarrows

New wheelbarrows, which can collect and accommodate 250 kg. of garbage, will soon be introduced by the Municipal Corporation as a part of its integrated solid waste management effort.

Yoga classes for women

Yoga training classes will be held for housewives from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. by the Yoga Consciousness Trust at the Yoga Chaitanya Kendra at New VUDA Park from Friday. Deails can be had by dialling 2781781 and 2719709.

CPI(M) seeks closure of wine shop

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded the closure of the newly opened wine shop in Bapujinagar of Ward 36 near National Highway No.5 beside Kapparada. The wine shop is located near a school.
