THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The women students' sub-committee of the SFI has expressed reservations over the statement made by Congress (I) legislator Savithri Lakshmanan in the Assembly, apparently ridiculing the girls who had taken part in the agitation against self-financing colleges in the State. Ms. Lakshmanan's conduct was unbecoming of a woman legislator, said N.S. Thara, joint convener of the SFI sub-committee, at a press conference here on Friday evening. The leaders demanded that the MLA withdraw her remarks and apologise in public. The SFI women's wing will take out marches in the State on Monday.
