HYDERABAD: The Union Minister of State for Rural Development, A. Narendra, has said the resignation by the TRS Ministers will stay in spite of the upcoming meeting between the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and the party chief, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, to thrash out their differences. "There is no question of withdrawal of resignations, regardless of pressure on the TRS," he told reporters here on Friday. He said the July 20 meeting in New Delhi would discuss the resignations, but there can be no going back. "We will speak on his omissions and commissions and his attitude towards the TRS." The resignations were a fallout of the humiliation suffered by the Ministers while in Government. It was not possible for them to continue, he said. Specifically referring to the manner in which Dr. Reddy dealt with the TRS Ministers, Mr. Narendra said he often slighted them.
Focus on six demands
He felt there was no guarantee that such behaviour by the Congress would not be repeated if the TRS was to relent and rejoin the Cabinet. The meeting between Dr. Reddy and Mr. Rao would focus on the six demands set forth by the TRS and they would await Dr. Reddy's reaction. The TRS had agreed to the meeting only to discuss issues of concern to Telangana.
