Marketing for Botcha

HYDERABAD: Botcha Satyanarayana, who was stripped of his Major Industries portfolio following the Volkswagen controversy, has been allotted the relatively minor subject of Marketing.

This decision was conveyed to the Governor, Sushil Kumar Shinde, by the Chief Minister, Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, on his return from a tour of Chittoor district on Friday.

Though there is pressure on him to drop Mr. Satyanarayana from the Cabinet, Dr. Reddy felt he could not be punished as there is no prima facie evidence against the Minister about his involvement in the siphoning away of funds.
