Anti-tobacco rally
The idea is to create awareness about the ill-effects of smoking and use of other tobacco products besides bringing about an understanding between the police and the public. The rally is being organised jointly by the Universal Helpage (India) Trust, Bhagidari Jan Sahyog Samiti, Human Foundation and the Health Department of New Delhi Municipal Council.
Award programme
Organised jointly by the Delhi University Students' Union and Vivekanand Institute of Computer Education, this programme is organised annually for Class XII students. Prominent educationists, leaders of political parties and other eminent people will be attending the programme aimed at encouraging both meritorious and needy students.
Orientation ceremony
The ceremony started with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by `Saraswati Vandana'. The Institute's Director, Ashok Sinha, faculty members and students were among those present.

Notice to police
While granting bail to Mr. Bajaj in the sleaze video clip case involving two students of a public school here last year, the High Court had directed him to submit his passport to the lower court concerned as one of the bail conditions.
