KOLLAM: If the demands of `anganawadi' workers continued to be ignored, they would be forced to organise a fast-unto-death in front of the Secretariat, State general secretary of the National Anganawadi Employees Union A. Rahimkutty has said. He was inaugurating a dharna organised by `anganawadi' employees at the Press Club maidan here on Saturday. He demanded a pay scale on the lines of that implemented by the Pondicherry Government for `anganawadi' workers. A commission report suggesting this had already been submitted to the Government. That should be implemented, he said. Other demands include one month's wage as festival allowance and holidays on Saturdays.
