Dyers to pay 10 p.c. of charges as advance

TIRUPUR:
The Dyers Association of Tirupur (DAT) on Saturday unanimously decided to pay an advance of 10 per cent of the total charges towards installing reverse osmosis plants to attain zero effluent discharge.
All the 19 common effluent treatment plants (CETPs), including the existing eight CETPs, have decided to pay 10 per cent advance and would take a united stand in approaching the Madras High Court, said N. Kandasamy, president of DAT.
All the dyeing units will appeal to the HC seeking reduction of deposit amount, he added.
