Rs. 20 cr. granted under Indira Kranthi Patham

Funds by month end after studying plans of women federations

NIZAMABAD: The Chief Executive Officer of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), P. Vijayakumar, said on Sunday that Rs.20 crores was allocated to 27 mandals in the district, where the Indira Kranthi Patham was being implemented.

Praising the achievements of self help groups at a meeting here, he said the village level women federations had submitted village development plans by taking into account the locally available resources to the mandal level federations.

If these plans were implemented there would be an enormous improvement in the rural economy, he observed.
