MADURAI: Host Reserve Line Sports Club posted a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rudrappa Hockey Club, Udumalpet in the 13th Rajamani-Kanagamaniammal Memorial Trophy State-level hockey tournament here on Monday. In other matches, G.K. Motor Finance Club thrashed Sports Hostel, Tirunelveli 5-0, while Nethaji Hockey Club, Kovilpatti prevailed over Ever Great Hockey Club, Vadipatti 5-4 via tie-breaker after the teams were 2-2 in regulation time and Jothi Sports Club, Palayamkottai beat Thirunagar Hockey Club 4-1, also via tie-breaker, after the teams were locked goalless at full time. Thirunagar Club could have clinched the issue 10 minutes from close but for wasting a penalty stroke. Rajesh Kannan who took the stroke, scooped the ball out.
