BANGALORE: Favourite Carmel Convent began on a promising note in the Late Yeshodamma Devi memorial inter-school volleyball tournament, conducted by the Basavanagudi Sports Club here on Monday. While the Carmel Convent girls downed St. Mary's 25-5, 25-17 in the high school section while its higher primary girls quelled the challenge from Appollo 25-19, 25-15.
